Function:
بيعمل adaptation لل band من ناحيه ال gingival step فقدر احصل على sealing كويس جدا
كمان ال wedge بيكون حجمه اكبر حاجة بسيطة من ال space عشان وانا بدخله ب friction
فيعمل separation بين الاسنان
وكمان over come band thickness فيعوض ال thickness
بتاع ال band بعد مااشيلها
حاجات اخد بالى منها
1-wedge enter from wide embrasure to narrow one
2- wedge should be at same level of gingival step to avoid matrix deformation
واتنجنب ال plaque & food accumulation بعد كدة
3- in deep caries
الwooden wedge مش هيعملى لا separation ولا adaptation to the band
ودة بسبب ان كل ماانزل deep ال cervical profile بيتغير من convex to concave
فاقدر استخدم ال diamond wadges زى ال bioclear green wedge
لانه عندة gingival extension & convex in shape
وممكن ف ال deep caries استخدم teflone يزود ال adaptation
ويعمل seal كويس لانه hyrophobic ال application بتاعه رخم شويه فعشان اتغلب عليها اخلى ال filled dry وال instrument تكون wet فاميلزقش فيه
